FEATHER QUILL EMBROIDERY

In the parlour of the Rohrerhaus, Katharina awaits you to explain this centuries-old traditional craft. Here you can see how she decorates the leather goods with fine, neat stitches. Shoes, belts, straps and braces are embroidered with filigree ornaments. The "Geldbeitl" from Sarner is one of the best-known and most popular products and is famous beyond the country's borders.

Along the Talfer

SPA WALK

Feel like stretching your feet? Then take a walk along the Talfer from the Rohrerhaus to the Sarner trout farm. Enjoy the fresh air, the cheerful chirping of the birds and the wonderful splashing of the Talfer.

TURNERY FRITZ

Follow the wonderful scent of Swiss stone pine. Right next to the Sarner trout farm is the master craftsman's workshop "Drechslerei Fritz". Let yourself be infected by the joy of woodturning. Fritz will show you how he makes the artistic one-of-a-kind items. The master craftsman reveals many details about his work, for example about the growing and felling of trees and how wood was turned 100 years ago.

HIKING

If you want to stretch your legs a bit, you can hike from the turnery to the Unterweger wool mill across the green meadows and old field alleys. Enjoy the view of Reinegg Castle and the Sarner Scharte.

WOOL MANUFACTURE UNTERWEGER

Immerse yourself in the art of over 100 years old wool processing. During a guided tour you will learn everything about this traditional craft that has been handed down from generation to generation. Albert will explain how natural sheep's wool is made into high-quality, genuine products.
